This Sunday marks our 25^th year since NCCC started on October 6, 1982. A lot has changed... our culture has undergone a massive shift... technology has exploded... marriage has eroded at an alarming rate...alcohol and drug abuse has skyrocketed...any many are searching for truth. NCCC was created on the wave of the Jesus movement... a contemporary church with a 2000 year old message from a carpenter but communicating that message in relevant ways. We didn't change the message but the methods.... to reach a culture that was steeped in tradition and religion.

Our slogan.... "relationship not religion"... grew out of this vision. A lot has changed in 25 years. We now live in another new culture... it is not 1982! So we mark this passage of time with profound humility that God has used us and blessed us these 25 years... it is history now. 32 Adults and 10 children met that 1^st Sunday... today... almost 500 meet every Sunday at NCCC... another 225 at our spin-off church....LifeSpring Community... co-pastored by Jim Donahue, one of our first pastors raised up at NCCC. We have been to 20 countries helping national churches start new churches.... we have focused on Romania and Columbia.

We need to start a new history... because our culture has changed.... the message is still timeless... "Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8)... but how we communicate to this new culture is crucial... our vision... to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ... must continue to be relevant. Pray with us that God would give us new vision and lead us to meet the needs of this new culture.
