We believe raising godly children is the job of godly parents and rejoice in the privilege of serving parents in their task. We believe children are uniquely close to the heart of God, so ministry to children is a high and lofty service that shapes years of a church’s future and the lives of individual children.
We prefer to have Biblical truths discovered rather than just handed down by teachers, so we engage the children in a process of learning through role-playing, games, crafts, object lessons and service. During the adult worship services we offer Sunday School classes for elementary (Pre K - 5th grade) age children in the classrooms in the basement. Jr High (6th - 8th grade) meet during the service in a room upstairs every week except for the forth Sunday of the month. During the forth Sunday we offer communion during our worship services and want parents and teenagers to experience this time together as a family.

AWANA (Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed)
AWANA is a very popular weekly club meeting for pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade kids. The kids enjoy wearing their red members’ vest upon which they display the various patches and awards earned for a variety of accomplishments. Each weekly meeting provides creative Bible teaching, games, snacks, and opportunity for the kids to work toward earning their awards. Annual highlights include the Grand Prix in which the kids race their matchbox cars. For information contact Vickie Kennedy at 314-344-3164.

Nursery is the child’s first experience in a church environment and sometimes the first environment away from parents. It is a great responsibility and an exciting opportunity to be available to teach our youngest children that God loves them and that others love them too.
The nursery ministry is committed to care for, comfort, and meet the needs of young children ages birth to 3 years old. Our goal is to make the nursery a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment for kids, parents and workers alike.
Our theme in the nursery is excellence. Jesus elevated the ministry to children in front of his disciples, teaching them the importance of these young souls. Therefore, the nursery ministry has a dual purpose. The first purpose is to teach young children from birth that Jesus loves them. We believe children from birth can understand Jesus’ love by feeling loved by others. Our secondary focus is the parents of these little ones. We offer quality child care during the service in order to give the adults the opportunity to worship and listen to the message free from distraction.
