Due to official public guidelines, NC3church services are cancelled for at least the next two Sundays (3/22 & 3/29). Video of the sermons will be live streamed at 10am Sunday on the North County Community Church Facebook page. As always audio of the sermons will be posted on the church website. Click here for sermons AWANA, Ignite & Blast are cancelled thru the rest of March. We will continue to reassess the quickly changing situation but at this time it appears likely that these cancellations will extend beyond March, into April. We will keep you posted. The Discovery 101 & 102classes scheduled in March & early April are also cancelled, to be rescheduled at a later time. You should check with your Community Group leaders as to whether your particular group will meet. Though we are leaving that decision to the individual groups for now, no one should feel obliged to attend any gathering with which they are not comfortable. The ACTION ’20 Project Fair, scheduled for April 5, will be cancelled. We are reassessing our approach to the ACTION ’20 service projects for the near season. And we are currently working on a strategic plan to meet needs within our church body and broader community during the Coronavirus crisis. In order to keep NC3 going forward we all need to give faithfully. You can give through our website, which lists several options for online giving. Click here for online giving options. Living through this unprecedented experience is both a deep challenge and a rich opportunity to grow in Christ. We should ask ourselves the same question Jesus posed to his disciples in the aftermath of the deadly storm of Luke 8, “Where is your faith?” The Lord was not taken by surprise by the storm or the events that are taking place now. As we engage in social distancing let’s turn our thoughts to the welfare of others. Isolation causes loneliness. We can reach out to those who may need a phone call, text or email. We could offer to deliver groceries to the door of someone in especially compromised condition (if you are in such need please let us know). Some in the church family are delivering school-provided meals to needy children who would otherwise miss meals during the school hiatus. No matter the situation there’s always ways to get outside ourselves, serve others and glorify Christ. We currently face a great challenge—and opportunity.
